She is the perfect hostess (nothing too much trouble) and as others have said before within ten minutes we felt we were talking to a good friend. The glorious three course di..."nner we ate in the cosy dining room was delightful. We also had our lovely Irish breakfast in here, making us both think life doesn't get any better than this. With family photos all around and a log fire this was the Ireland we both love. Our bedroom was so cosy with great views of the front garden and drive. A wonderful old house with really idyllic pastoral views but still convenient for lots of locations - ideal for Kildare and Carlow but Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow and Dublin also within pr..."etty easy range. Exceptionally friendly and hospitable hosts and a lovely room with crisp white linen, great shower and lots of extras (including a selection of magazines and books). We were offered scones on arrival and had wonderful freshly cooked breakfasts which set us up for the day! Overall, a really pleasant stay - we hope to return. " More >
