  "A friend and I on a cycle tour of Devon and Cornwall happened upon Downtown Farm as we needed a place to stay and were encouraged by the reviews. We were warmly welcomed into this beautiful, rustic and most definitely working farm very warmly. Nothing was too much trouble and even our wet (and s..."lightly smelly) cycling clothes were dried off for us. Sometimes turning up head to toe in lycra can raise some eyebrows, but here we were treated like royalty. Free wifi helped us keep in touch and they even booked us a table at the local restaurant. The star of the show had to be the wonderful home-made sausages we had for breakfast. They were up there with the best sausages I have ever had (and I have eaten a lot). All in all a wonderful place for the cyclist or any other traveller to stay. " More >

  "A brilliant place to stay and eat"
  "We were supposed to have camped the night we stayed here but the weather was not on our side. Very thankful for this now as we had a wonderful stay at the Castle Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food gorgeous and the room oldy worldy! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay...."   "We stayed in the Castle Inn whilst walking the Dartmoor Way. We had the Premier Room which has plenty of room plus a small balcony. Mo made us most welcome and we had a pleasant stay and a good meal that evening."
