  "This is the second time we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Rockwall, Texas. I recommend this hotel especially for families. It's a bit of a hike to DFW airport, but it's worth it if you have business or family in the Rockwall area."

In March I reserved a room for Saturday May 11th. A short couple's getaway for us. The reservation clerk at Hilton Honors assured me that my wife and I would have a lake view room. When we arrived at the hotel at 3PM, the young woman working the reception desk completed my check in paperwork and handed me a room key. I asked her if this was a lake view room and she simply stated "no, we don't have any of those left."   "The La Quinta in Rockwall was an overall success. The staff was helpful and kind, they really went out of their way to make sure things were comfortable. The TV and room was clean and was what you would expect at this pricepoint. I was happy with everything EXCEPT breakfast. La Quinta makes a bi..."g deal about the breakfast and what they serve. I do NOT think, bisquits, a round piece of yellow egg(?) and gravy constitutes breakfast. It was close, and could have been better. They did have waffles, and the other standard fare.
