  "We stayed at Stone Lizard Lodging for three nights while poking around at various outdoor sites in southeastern Utah. I wanted to come here rather than Moab because it was close to sites further south that we hadn't been to before. I was a little nervous because it's a tiny town without much touri..."sm infrastructure. And I planned this trip and my wife has higher standards than I do, so I was definitely nervous. Fortunately the Stone Lizard was a very pleasant surprise and it satisfied my wife (my primary concern!). Craig, the new owner, is clearly working hard to build up this place. He is upgrading all the rooms and they are very pleasant. The beds are excellent, which is always my biggest concern. The furnishings are all new and pleasant, and there is a fridge and microwave in each room. Everything is spotless. Best of all, Craig is really interested in the heritage of southeastern Utah and pointed us to some really interesting walks that we never could have found ourselves.... " More >
