  "Our stay at le Terrecotte di Marmore is excellent. The owner Lara is very kind and helpful. She provides a lot of information about the area and can give good advise on restaurants. The room is spacious and is cleaned every day. The view from the terrace is splendid. Close to Terni, but it feels lik..."e countryside being in the middle of olive trees. Breakfast is good with ham and cheese if you like (in Italy the breakfast is usually only sweet). Lara speeks English, French and German. This place is a very good point to visit the cities nearby: Spoleto, Orvieto, Todi, Montefalcone, Narni to name a few. Also the Marmore falls and Lake Piediluco are worth a visit.   "We booked this hotel as we did not want to stay in Terni and on the whole were not disappointed. Although we arrived late on Friday due to flight delays we were expected and the chef at the restaurant (very good) made us a delicious dinner. They make their own wine on site which you can buy. The roo..."m (a standard) had a balcony and a lovely view. Lovely dish-sized shower and generous toiletries. The mattress, however, was uncomfortably hard - even though I normally like orthopaedic mattresses - this we found uncomfortable. Also, although we were meant to be able to control the temperature in the room, every time I tried to reduce the temperature and activate the air conditioning it didn't work and so we were hot and stuffy (we were told not to leave the windows open due to dust from the trees).
