My room was one of the nicest I've seen at a HIE and included crown moulding. Everything was very clean and well kept and the bed and pillows were comfortabl..."e. I appreciated the little basket of goodies that was waiting for me in my room as I had traveled for hours and was very hungry. The only problem I had was with the showerhead, I could not get it to set to a comfortable setting; it was either set so that the spray literally felt like needles or a setting so strong I thought it would rip out my hair (no kidding) or it poured out like a faucet, straight down so I'd have to practically hug the shower wall to get under the water.   "I found this place on line when we were planning a trip to Yakima, Washington, and I am glad we did. It is a wonderful hotel, modern, bright and clean. It is right downtown and within walking distance of many attractions. The staff is smart, alert, and friendly. I had been given a good rate by an employee on-line but, but when we arrived (I had not made a reservation) the front desk clerk found us an even cheaper rate. A room with a king size bed was no extra charge as it in in some hotels. There is a secure underground parking lot (rather a steep driveway into it) and an elevator from there to the lobby. The young lady at the desk told me that it was fine that my husband uses a scooter and has a service dog, Henry, an English Mastiff. She arranged for a room that really suited our needs, explained where the laundry and dog wa..."lking were located and gave me a big smile. The rest of the staff was just as helpful, giving me directions to places and doing things like help move chairs in the dining area so the scooter and Henry, who weighs 200 pounds would fit. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful even though I could see they were busy with other customers and activities. It started our trip off really well. " More >
