The facilities were good; breakfast left in the room was not not plentiful, but quite different and adequate. Generally a good option for staying close to Volcano Park. A very comfortable bed (the sofa bed was comfortable too), a well-stocked and equipped kitchen, and a range of books, DVDs, CDs etc. There is also a very private covered outside dining / living area ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sounds of the forest. Kathryn was a great host too - full of information and very welcoming but also respectful of our space and privacy. It's an over-used phrase but Kate's Cottage really is a home away from home.
