I wish she had included the unit number to warn about that specific unit as each are individually owned and most are quite nice inside. We found the entire complex to be very well..." run and managed. Number 136 had been recently updated, had great furniture and finishings, and was very clean. The online pictures are very accurate. While we didn't have the fabulous Bali Hai view that some do, our unit did have an ocean view and was only a few short steps to the cliff for sunset views over Bali Hai. Another location advantage was that it was an easy walk to the St Regis resort and has a private path down to Hideaways Beach. While we were on the first floor the noise from above was hardly noticeable. The only problem we had was getting the wifi to work, but eventually got connected. We have stayed at this location four times. The amazing thing is we see the same employees each time we go. They all seem so happy not only living in Kauai but working at the St Regis. The Kauai Grill is out of this world. The night we showed up for our reservation, our friend Salome seated us at a beautiful table, and Pete, our waiter, did a superb job of recommending menu items and gave great service too.   "My husband and I traveled to the St. Regis for our honeymoon. We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by the amazing view, great service, and the Island of Kauai. The housekeepers kept our room spotless, room service was always quick, and the valet drivers where always timely and eager to point us in the right direction. The only real complaint I have was with the drink prices, $32 for a double Jack and Diet and $15 for an aloha (bloody) marry, yikes! We opted to go to the grocery store down the road and make our own drinks in our room. Had the prices been more reasonable we would have gladly bought them at the hotel.
