We booked our room about eight hours before arriving as we were travelling and were unsure of our arrival time. We understood we were paying a higher rat..."e ($162.00) for two adults but were surprised to be charged $75.00 non-refundable for our little dog!!! We had recently stayed at a five star hotel on this trip and were welcomed, without charge, with our dog. When we mentioned it at the desk we were basically told "hotel policy" and given a "I don't care" attitude. So we can only assume that they charge this rate to keep dogs away from their hotel. The front desk staff were rude. The staff in the lounge with one exception were equally rude and I watched in dismay as they snickered at customers behind their backs. Would we return? No. The hotel is beautiful - the staff and the hotel policy on pets need a lot of work. " More >
