Even though it says on the websiste, all rooms have been "remodeled", the bathrooms remain the last piece yet to be upgraded. I hope the Sheraton can fully rest..."ored this resort to its glory years! That said, the common areas are in excellent shape and it seems that's where it spent most of the money. The lobby area is fantastic, bright, airy and colorful. The staff is wonderful and attentive and the pool area with its waterslide is a nice touch to an otherwise seasoned resort. The $30 daily resort fee is definitely something not to overlook but I can say the wifi has improved from previous reviews. So it does mean mgmt has been reading these reviews and are not taking it lightly. " More >

  "We visited Kona Coast Resort as a trade with our time share. The buildings are established and the landscaping is very well kept. The furnishings are basic and have been around for quite while. The kitchen is spartan, as if you don't spend much time in the kitchen. We like the location because..." it is away from downtown traffic. It is close to Kapaluu beach and GREAT snorkeling. We SCUBA dive and take the 11-19 road to the marina. This allows us to mill all the traffic on Alii. The staff is helpful and willing to do anything if you ask. The issues or restocking the condo we handled quickly and with an "Aloha" smile. There is pathway around the outside of the entire property so you can walk or jog if you like. There is a pool for families at the center, and an adult "Quiet Pool" in another corner of the property. We used the quiet pool and very much enjoyed the hot tub adjacent to the pool.   "B37...remember that number, I will for our next visit to Kailua-Kona. This is a one bedroom, remodeled unit. It has a king bed and a full futon which my daughters report was very comfortable. The unit has two flat screens, washer/dryer in the unit, and a fully stocked kitchen. But the absolute best ..."part is the view. It is on the top floor over-looking a beach park and has a full ocean view. The lanai is large enough for a table and four chairs so we ate most of our meals there listening to the ocean. There are four bar-b- ques and kitchen area downstairs overlooking the pool and ocean. Beyond the pool fence is a large green area with lounge chairs for watching the sunset. These vacation/apartment rentals are managed by three different companies. Ours was Castle. I feel they did a very good job listening to our requests. Be aware that you only have made service after 6 days when they will come in and change bedding and towels. You will need to wash towels but they will give you pool ... " More >
