  "I stayed here 2 night. First the rooms are clean, nice and everything you need. Second the staff i unreal!!! I lost my wallet the first night I got there. They bent over backwards helping me call the police, shops I was at ( since I don't speak french), let me call overseas to my bank on there ph..."one( no charge). Then organized with the police my wallets return 2 days later. The staff, and especially the young guy ( whos speaks great english) were amazing!!   "It is rare to stumble upon such a little gem. I am almost reluctant to post about it, for fear of over-exposing it!! Myself and my partner spent 10 nights (yes, a long stay - plenty of time to get a true picture) in this wonderful hotel in August 2011. La Caravelle is close enough to stroll over the..." bridge to St Jean de Luz, yet far enough removed to enjoy it's quieter location. There is a small beach directly across the road from the hotel, which is more than adequate but if you walk 10 mins in the opposite direction to St Jean de Luz, you will be treated to some of the most wonderful beaches and swimming you will experience this side of the Caribbean! In this direction, you will also find the extensive beach in Socoa and its wonderful little harbour that has 5/6 wonderful restaurants, all within a very pleasant 30 minute stroll of the hotel (a stunning walk along the coast).
