Hulda, the owner is a charming and very welcoming lady, who will do her best to host you in their very cozy and super clean guesthouse. Rooms are very comfortable, you may use the kitchen for your dinner, and the breakfast (included) is a very good one (compared to Iceland's standards). It has a hotub, too, while you have a good and comfortable shower you should of course take before you use it. Another tip: Make a tour in the farm to get acquainted with the Icelandic way of agriculture, Hulda and her husband will be willing to guide you there. " More >

We had a late-night dip in the jacuzzi (amazing views!) and a great night's sleep. The breakfast was the best of our trip, and was nearly all home made or home grown (this is a working farm, although that didn't disturb us for a moment- it was a plus, actually). We were sorry that we only stayed one night at Geirshlid - it was possibly our favourite hotel out of several on a road trip through the country. It's a perfect first stop if you're heading clockwise around the ringroad, or up to the Westfjords, and it's within easy reach of Reykholt and Borgarnes. " More >
