Our bathroom was small and zero counter space. I appreciate the Green effort, but the sink aerator made me wait 4 minuted for warm water. I almost gave a 3 rating, and you will have to decide if this merits a 3, but the walls were so paper thin that I heard every word of conversations in the hall from business meeting gab to breakfast plans.   "This was our second stay at the Bouchard Inn and I highly recommend it. The rooms are clean, updated, comfortable and tastefully appointed. The location is perfect for exploring Newport and many attractions are within walking distance. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were told that a contine..."ntal type breakfast would be delivered on Saturday morning between 8:00-8:30 AM. (we already knew this from our previous stay) We informed the innkeeper that we were attending a graduation the next morning and would be leaving earlier than that. They promised to deliver coffee for us but that the pastries, etc. would probably not be ready in time.(yes homemade pastries...delicious!!!) Well, they surprised us the next morning with warm homemade apple turnovers and coffee. So thoughtful and nice!! ..oh and scrumptious. The only downside would be that it is located next to a pub which is loud. With our a/c unit on, we could not hear the noise. " More >

  "We stayed at the Admiral Fitzroy Inn in Newport at the end of April. The Inn was clean, well appointed and in the heart of everything. Although we did a lot of walking around town & exploring, the Inn provides parking - a real bonus! even during the slower Spring season. The staff was friendly an..."d efficient, and we especially liked the plate of cookies that was always available for snacking. Breakfast was basic - which was not a problem for us - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice (not over the top) place to stay in Newport. One thing though.. during the summer the foot traffic may be noisy? since it is literally in the heart of the downtown fun. " More >
