  "We just returned today from a 2-night stay at the Daemyung Sol Beach Hotel. Our family was really surprised by what a great resort it turned out to be. We traveled the first week of October with our 3 kids, ranging 8-2, and my parents in their 60's & 70's. To start, the resort itself is really be..."autiful and tastefully decorated. The public spaces and the rooms are extremely clean and very well maintained. Additionally, the decor itself is simple and sophisticated, especially for a Korean resort. No fussy light fixtures or gaudy finishings. (Korean hotel decor is often a bit overdone for my taste.) Our room had a huge, albeit not toddler-friendly, balcony with a gorgeous ocean view. The balcony doors even had a sliding screen door, so we could keep the doors open at night to enjoy the wonderful ocean breeze. However, the balcony itself could be very dangerous for a young child because the railings were too widely spaced. Our toddler could have easily squeezed himself through and fall... " More >

  "Being the 3rd hotel of 4 in Korea during an 8 days stay where we went for only budget hotels, our expectations were not high for this fairly cheap one night stay at this new (or just renovated) hotel at Naksan Beach close to The amazing Soraksan Mountains at the North East of Korea. The family roo..."m was however very big and perfect for a family of 4 with two double beds. The view was amazing from the nice balcony with the beach only 50meters away and therefore beautiful ocean view with a spectacular sunrise. The hotel even had a table tennis room for the joy of my teenage kids. Location is excellent a short 15 minutes drive to Soraksan and with walking distance to restaurants in Naksan. Still however far enough away to be fairly quiet although should say we were there off-season (which however was hard to believe when going to Soraksan where we had to wait almost 2 hours for te cablecar. Be there early or late. Not between 11 and 3 unless you dont mind waiting). " More >
