Large spacious light rooms with views of..." the gardens, we had a "super king" bed you could get lost in, large fluffy bathtowels changed every day, plenty of tea/coffee in the room and homemade barra brith and a pot of tea on arrival. Excellent breakfasts to suit all tastes. Good location out of town with plenty of parking and not a sound at night. The town is easily walkable down a not-too-steep hill (we did it in just over 10 minutes) with a reasonable choice of eating places at night but we also drove to the Union Pub at Tremadog about 1.5miles which we can really recommend.   "We stayed one night at Yr Hen Fecws, as well as having lunch there when we arrived. It really is a very nice welcoming b&b and well situated in the centre of Porthmadog a stones throw from the harbour, the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways and the coast footpath. My one, minor reservation is that the flex on the kettle is rather short so you have to boil it on the floor, which isn't ideal. But that is a minor quibble. " More >
