We hugely enjoyed our stay here - probably our favourite casa in Cuba. - Room was clean, well presented and in good conditi..."on. - The house is perfectly located about a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of town. - Food was fantastic - certainly up there as some of the best we had in Cuba - and plentiful - Cocktails were also delicious - Excellent value - Excellent English spoken (and also French, I believe) - The family were incredibly attentive (but not overly so) and extremely helpful - explaining what we could do around, helping organise trips and also helped us to find a room for our third night (we were having such a lovely time, we wanted to stay longer!)   "We travelled to Cuba in June 2009 and were referred to Basita after staying at La Casa de Ana in Havana. We did not know what to expect, but on arrival Basita's son greeted us at the bus and carried my heavy bag for me to the house. We do not speak Spanish, but were able to get by happily. The rent at that time was about half the price of our stay in Havana and the food was outstanding. We were offered fresh tuna steak, large portions of chicken or pork, with lots of salad, plantain, and very nice homemade chips! I could rarely finish my meal due to the size of the portion. Whilst we were there, three girls arrived and asked whether they could have dinner. They were not staying at the casa, but had heard about the good reputation of the food.
