  "My partner and I stayed for two nights. Where do I start? They let us check in early ( when we turned up unannounced in the pouring rain) serving us coffee and croissants in the meantime. Our room was a lake view and we loved waking up to that every morning. Breakfast was delicious. We seemed to ha..."ve missed the starting time and so turned up half an hour early but even so Sergio stopped what he was doing and set up a table for us on the balcony with the 180 degree views of the lake. We received turn by turn instructions for the various sites from Sergio's wife, including handwritten maps of where to get free parking. In fact at every turn in the hotel, there was a friendly face saying hello, making us feel very welcome. The room was simple but clean, with air conditioning and tv. Wifi was free and fast enough.   "we have just returned after eight excellent days at the hotel la perla lake como.we had an excellent room with terrace overlooking the lake and mountains..the hotel is spotlessy clean the family of four owners cannot do enough for you they smile all the time and most helpfull. the brea..."kfast each day is first class. fruit cereal toast croisant etc eaten on the terrace overlooking the lake..20 bedrooms so not overcrowded...they run a shuttle service twice in the morning and evening...to the ferry terminal down the hill which otherwise is a twenty minute walk or €10 taxi ride. each morning one of the lady owners would supply maps and info where to go what to see etc. you must visit bellagio verena the hotel is at tremezzo. the villa in lenno is outstanding..menaggio is sunning..the italians take great pride in the area the whole area is clean and spotless...the gardens wonderfull..i have never seen so many geraniums... and you never see an english football f...
