  "We stayed here for one night, wanting a place to stay which offered peace and quiet. This was perfect. Modern rooms, comfy and warm. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Peaceful, rural, views are lovely, big sky views, and lots of nature right on the doorstep - or at the window, to be more accurate...". We watched lots of small birds fly about and feed whilst we had breakfast. We had an evening meal at the Golden Fleece in Braughing, which was great quality and well worth a visit even if it does mean a short drive from the B&B. If you are using a satnav to find this B&B, don't turn off the road too soon or it will take you all down the tiny back lanes. Use a map as well and stay on the main (ish) road for as long as you can. Ask for a room that does not have the boiler in it - it was in a cupboard in ours, and when it switched on was noisy for me and woke me up (it did not bother my husband, though).   "The pub has 4 attached rooms which are really cosy and verwell furnished (guess you can call it countrystyle) - the rooms are in a separat building in the backyard so you get no noises from the pub. The pub itself is just how you want a traditional pub - open fireplace, solid floor, etc. - the staff..." is really friendly and helpful and always keen to chat. The food is excellent - the menu is small but well chosen dishes makes it hard to decide - the quality of the ingredients is really high. On of the highlights is (for us mainland-europeans) the coffee in the morning, fresh from the espresso-machine :-) - would recommend this place for either the start of a journey (Stansted is just 20 min. away, so no big deal when travelling by rental car) or to have sone quite days off.
