The trip is about 20 minutes and the bus stops only 2 blocks from the hotel. Why take a taxi!!?? The area is pleasantly quiet and there are several restaurants in the area including German, Mexican, Italian, Thai, and Chinese. There is also a petrol station/convenience store within easy walking distance for sundry needs. I chose to have dinner at the Gundhof restaurant which is only 5 minutes walking and which offers traditional German fare in a rustic setting (beer garden available in warmer months) and which was delightful.
