On booking in they accidently put us down as half board & handed us bands so I pointed it out to them & decided to chance my arm & say that we deserved an upgrade for being honest & it was my husbands 50th birthday that day but they said no! Worth a chance! Breakfast was fab, entertainment very good they only thing I didn't like was the food in the snack bar by the pool was very poor & on the morning we were leaving there was no breakfast offered to us (it was 4:30am) other people had a buffet laid out for them in the other hotels.   "Writing this 8 hours after returning from a weeks stay at the Hotel and from having the best holiday of my life. We have been devout followers of self catering but the deal on offer for the Arona was on a half board basis and we were fearing a weeks monotony of limited menus and having to head out ..."to try and find something decent to eat. However after two days this thought was firmly laid to rest as even the fussiest of eaters would have managed to gorge themselves several times over, the selection at each meal being so great. An earlier reviewer (Thanks Andy G) gives a fairly accurate picture of the place so read his comments. Only thing I would add is the sun lounger "towel booking" policy. Don't even think about it!. The attendants now go round and if a sun lounger has a towel on it but is unoccupied for any length of time with nobody around all the stuff lying about is put into a plastic bag, taken to the central area and a card left saying that the lounger has been reallocate...   "2nd Stay......even better than the first."
  "Just returned from our 2nd stay in this hotel and have to say it was fab! Top floor room......very spacious and kept spotlessly clean daily. All inclusive, better meal choice than previous stay....just one little moan, the toaster at breakfast was far too slow! Reception staff were all very frie..."ndly and helpful. Bar staff at the pool bar were happy friendly and a good laugh. Entertainment was good and staff again were very friendly and involved everyone. Only comment here would be to have a two week program so evening shows weren't repeated. Siam park, Loro parque and the Medieval night are all recommended. Fab holiday.....great value.
