We also had our own hammock on the shared veranda. The breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh fruits, juices, pastries, eggs, sliced meats, cheeses and good coffee. And even though we were there in the slow season with only a couple of other guests, the buffet and tables were fully set up each morning with beautiful blue tablecloths and plenty to eat. It was delightful to sit outside on the large veranda eating breakfast and watching the river and the many colorful birds that were flying in and out of nearby bushes.   "I stayed at Grand Palladium for 2 weeks in Feb. 2013 with a friend during the Carnival season. The Hotel is around 65km away from San Salvador de Bahia, where we attended Carnival on Rose Monday. We used the Spa in the evening for sports (including free training courses), relaxing and socialising. The main restaurant with a big variety of food and drinks is ideal for families. Most of the stay we used the special restaurants (you can reserve them as often as you want to). Our highlight were the Japanese and Brazilian restaurants. I assume that over 80% of the hotel guests were from Argentina, the rest mostly from Brazil. So, as we are from Germany, we were seen as rather exotic :-), which proved to be more as an advantage...   "Lujimba is rather a pousada than a hostel. It consists of several different buildings and doesn't really has the hostel feeling. That said, it is a really nice place to spend your time in Imbassai if you're looking for some peace and quietness. It has a good breakfast, it's clean, the staff is nice ..."and it has a great swimming pool. The double rooms were very nice and spacious with private bathroom for a very affordable price.
