  "Me and my boyfriend chose to stay on gili meno as it was suppose to be the quietest (so small you can walk around the whole island in 1hr). And in the slow season from January to March, it was dead. But it was exactly what we wanted! There are a few great locations but thisone was ~$15 for a bungalow, if lucky there are two that face the water. The room only had a fan, and the out door washroom is a little run down BUT when you meet Addy, it is all worth it! he was everything, the reception, the occasional cook, the bartender, the maid, the snorkeling guide (showed us where the sea turtles were!), the entertainment (he reminded us how fun the simple game of catch was haha), and he was our friend.   "My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights in April 2013. The location of Mahamaya is unbelievable. Right on the beach, almost touching the sparkling water. They've got the whole "outdoor living" thing down with the restaurant being this open, breezy space that extends right to the water's edge with ..."clever table and lighting placement. We stayed in the Cookie villa which is one of two beachfront villas. If you can stay in a beachfront villa - do. The view is fantastic. There's also a huge bed and a really cool outdoor shower. We didn't spend much time in the room though. We lounged on the beach next to the water almost all day, every day. It's a coral beach, meaning there's a layer of dead coral on the sand. I found it best to wear reef walkers or thongs but you can go without them without too much discomfort.
