  "This is a small & cozy hotel. The surrounding is nice and there is a number of dinning options and shops around. We were there not during peak so the whole area was pretty quiet and it was actually vey condusive for a nice stroll. There's an Angry Bird activity park attached to it now."

  "We travelled to Kakslautten - me, my wife, daughter(6) and niece(10). Having read mixed reviews on Tripadviser I wasn't sure what to expect. I cannot understand those people moaning about the place - it was beautiful and an amazing experience. The resort staff were friendly and it was truly a magica..."l wonderland. We stayed two nights, one night in a log cabin which was fantastic - sauna was great fun, and one night in glass igloos - again an experience. Snowmobiling amazing time, Sarriaselka good for longest tobaggon run in Europe and skiing and other activities etc. Don't be put off by people moaning about things like not having someone "take their bags to the cabin" - sleds provided to pull them and make it fun because it is! Food was okay, dinners on set menu not great but breakfast was filling and good. This is all made even better by the cabin's log fire - and what a fantastic fire it was. The heating in the cabin was great but there's nothing better than a log fire to wake up and retire to bed to. The hotel area itself was lovely and the staff were great. It's not top-level stuff but that is not what the trip here is about - it;s about the snow and the wilderness. The food was good, well prepared and everything was clean. Highlights about the hotel; was the cabin itself, the still and dry air; no black slushy snow here but clean and crisp white powdery snow.
