I can see why this would be amazing to locals. Coming from a green place, it does seem somewhat corny. The hotel is old but a classic. Well maintained, very helpful staff give drinks upon arrival. Room spotlessly clean, bathroom likewise. Nothing to complain about with the room or unique grounds. Just one glaring thing stands out. Dinner was in a quaint dining hall, looks the part, they served buffet - ok. Well, it was Walmart microwave unclen bens quality and cost a whopping 345AED. Whilst this may be an older hotel, we certainly could not find fault with the quality of the service, the outstanding meals, the lovely accommodation (huge comfy beds) and beautiful gardens. They did everything po..."ssible to make our stay enjoyable and memorable as it was my 50th birthday. Nothing was too much trouble - the chilled bottle of French champagne in the room when we arrived, the elaborate table side salad preparation, the huge grilled lobsters, the perfectly flambe'd prawns and Crepés on the balcony overlooking the mountains - we couldn't ask for more.
