From the Warm Friendly & Furry welcome when we arrived, scrumptious home cooked food (especially the lemon drizzle cake) to the spotlessly clean rooms oozing history & quirky ch..."arm. Set within the Peak District, with lovely walks, cycle rides and stunning scenery on the doorstep. Alison, Dave & Gemma were perfect hosts welcoming us into their home & letting us share some farming experiences. An absolute must for animal lovers or just the most perfect place to hide away, switch off & just watch the world go by. Excellent value for money & we will definately be back.   "Arrived about 8o'clock in the evening (19/05/13) and received the most generous and helpful greeting from a young man named Adam who helped us to both make the best of our stay at Hartington Hall and the day to follow by giving advice on the best ways to travel and what there is to see in the area. ..."During our stay Adam would always come to check on how we were finding things and would always answer any questions with haste and always a friendly manner. Our stay wouldn't have been the same without his shear commitment and attitude towards helping customers! Our room was basic, but fine for what we needed it for! My bed was comfy and I slept well. It was all clean. We looked around Hartington Hall and loved the petting corner! We were extremely surprised by how much there was to do and facilities in the hostel. The breakfast was also brilliant!! Defo worth buying a 5 pound token for!!! We will definatley come back and make our stay longer! " More >
