We've stayed here twice before for the WSBK race and whilst the hotel is perfectly placed for the circuit the whole set up there was unwelcoming and played perfectly to the classic image of poor French service, crap plumbing and a weird owner. The hotel is now under new management, a management fronted by someone who understands that his clientele might want a beer after a hard day at the circuit; might want a choice of wines; might want snacks and might want a good breakfast. We stayed one night,enjoyed the warm welcome, thoroughly enjoyed using the bar, slept extremely well in a very comfortable bed with crisp, clean laundered bedding, had hot showers and a great breakfast.
