  "Located at 2315m at the top of the gondola, this hotel is in a stunning location. Great if you're into skiing (piste, freeride, tour), but if you're looking primarily for apres-ski then this place is not for you. The facilities inside are great (pool, sauna, fitness, climbing wall, etc...). The ro..."oms vary a bit (some have been renovated more recently than others), but are what you would expect in many 3-star skiing accommodations. The beds are fairly firm, which suited us fine. At night rooms are warm and dry. Good with kids (there were many families there with kids from very young till teenage while we stayed there). The buffet breakfast and dinners were good but the choices may be too limited for picky eaters, the lunches are a little spartan. We liked the food. " More >

  "This was our first stay at the hotel and it was quite a pleasant one. The hotel is situated in a picturesque village w/easy access to many area attractions. Lovely postcard-like views from the balcony. We traveled with 2 kids and an infant and found that we had plenty of room. We also we happy t..."hat we had opted for the half pension as the food was fantastic. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. You could tell that this was a truly family run operation and that they really care about the experiences of their guests. The only minor complaint has to do with flies. During the summer this is a bit of a problem due to the grazing cows nearby. We did find the flies to be a bit of a nuisance but there is not much that the hotel can do to alleviate this problem beyond providing fly swatters (which they did.) We will be happy to return on any future trips to Uttendorf. " More >
