It is a superb location (tram outside - Basel 15 mins away; Lorrach in Germany 10 mins away). A short taxi ride from Basel airport. Parking space available. A superb breakfast in the main hou..."se. But it is the garden house itself that is the best part. A shower room/lavatory downstairs; kitchen with oven and more crockery than I have at home. A good sized fridge; ironing board; coffee maker. In the elegant sitting room/dining room the furniture is tasteful. A spiral staircase leads to lare bedroom and another lavatory. Outside there is garden furniture and a wonderful garen to admire. On this occasion we only stayed 5 nights but could have easily stayed longer. " More >

  "La Dependance is located just across the road from the world famous Fondation Beyeler Art Gallery in a quint village on the northern outskirts of Basel. We reached the B&B by taking the fast tram (LRT) from Central Basel via its 2 train stations to the front door; getting off at the Foundation Beye..."ler stop. It is well served by good roads and there is secure parking. We stayed in beautifully appointed suite which occupies a small house in the garden. Breakfast is provided in the main house meters away. The main house has been perfectly restored and Herve and his partner have impeccable taste. Everything was spotless on of the highest quality. Fresh flowers from the garden were in our room on arrival. Our suite was very peaceful. We had internet in our room. Breakfast is served in lovely dining room and was of the highest quality with a good selection of thoughtfuly chosen treats.
