  "We recently spent three nights in a deluxe room at this charming property on the Ionian side of the Salento peninsula. Having made three visits to Puglia in recent years, we've stayed at a number of masserie hotels and Don Cirillo is now among our favorites. Our room was spacious, with both bed and daybed, as well as an outdoor terrace appointed with a plush white-slipcovered outdoor sofa. Although the literature indicates limited hours for check-in and reception, the manager, Linda, is available throughout the day, always ready with suggestions on day trips, beaches, and restaurants. She is charming, fluent in English and we found her to be a tremendous asset! (There are many good restaurants within a 30-minute drive, and a number of these are situated within a 15 minute drive).   "Spending time at this resort is simplywonderful, as it should be. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are very modern, large, well maintained and well laid out.The pools are interesting, the main pool has 4 levels with considerable effort in landscaping around it. The children's slides are perfect..." for smaller children, they can spend hours and hours on them without parent intervention. The attached beach is simply spectacular, very clear, still, light blue and shallow water stretching way out into the sea. It is a very international restort, we had no problem at all with the service. The only let down is the food. It is simply not good enough, we had very few meals that could be considered good, the rest is simply too repetetive and plain.
