The rooms, bathrooms (heated) and beds were comfortable and of average standard, although mice in my bedroom were unwelcome guests. Pippa and George are ..."lovely hosts, George allowed us to use the lounge of the gite for additional comfort and even provided us with a fine bottle of local wine at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was okay and served in the very pleasant dining room in the main house. As mentioned in other reviews, the gardens are beautiful and it would be a great place to stay in the summer but only if you have a car because it's a bit too far away from Gaillac and there are no local amenities.   "The Perfect French Gite Off the Beaten Path"
  "My wife and I wanted to get off the beaten path for our holiday in France last summer, so we took a friend's recommendation and booked Mas de Sudre for a week. What an excellent decision it was. Pippa and George are magnificent innkeepers, helpful when you need them, invisible when you don't. The g..."uests they attract are delightful as well; we felt quite at home with all whom we met. The studio we rented was well equipped and the grounds were beautifully tended from the gardens to the pool and patio to the outdoor grill and picnic table where I mastered barbecued duck magret. Our private tiled terrace with idyllic sunrise views was heaven both daytime and at night for sunrise breakfasts, afternoon sunbathing, and evening meals and stargazing. The Gaillac area of the Tarn is ideal for long relaxing walks among the vineyards and farmland. And we were a short drive from so many historic and interesting Medieval towns.
