Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Called in here of a beer but having seen the menu I also had a wonderful traditional dinner. The place is just a good old pub with a good selection of beer and lovely home cooked food. I had chicken pie, with chips and peas,...cant go wrong with this and the pie was just wonderful, better than mother can make as the saying goes. Will happily recommend this place, with a good old publican to anyone and when down here next time will make it my go to pub.More

Not a friendly pub at all, landlord was extremely rude and unwelcoming, we stayed for one drink but was made to feel so uncomfortable so we had to leave. Went to the angel down the road, it’s so much better and staff are amazing there!!

We stayed at Ferndown for a weekend away and wandered from our hotel, the Bridghouse Hotel (highly recommended) to find a local Pub. We came across the White Hart and got there just on opening time. Log burner in full swing, choice of well kept...local real ales from ‘Badger brewery’ Firsty Ferret and Tanglefoot. Very windy so not many customers venturing out. but Landlady, Carol, very hospitable and friendly . A great two hours of pleasant company, good beers and great ambience. If you are down that way it’s worth a visit. Right next to Heskith Garden Centre. A True traditional proper pub.More

We need more pubs like this. Great food bar staff were kind and helpful. Great to be proper pub rather than a chain. Thank you for giving us a great evening. We will be back

We visit often as always a great welcome. Landlord is a character and always friendly. Carol's pies really are the best. Definitely an old school local pub with the added advantage of serving great food.

We often stop by the White Hart Pub in Longham as we find it a great place to be. The food is freshly cooked to order, the landlord always has time for a chat and it has an amazing log fire in the winter and...a nice garden at the back. It's a proper old school pub, and we always enjoy our visits here.....and Carol',s pies are amazing.More

Called in here recently for a drink, the place stank and quite frankly the landlord looked liked he needed a good wash. He was rude and aggressive. Didn’t bother ordering food, wouldn’t want to risk it. Toilets were filthy too. Sanitise your hands on leaving.

We visited the White heart Inn for an evening meal. We were greated by a very unhelpful and unfriendly landlord. We weren't told anything about the menu which was on the wall. Eventually we worked it out for ourselves. The food was nice enough but...there were lots of flies around. My father in law spilt his drink he is 82 years old. The landlord cleared it up very rudely not even asking if a replacement was required. I would not visit this establishment again if it was free. The landlord needs to learn some people skills.More
