The fact that I was able to get a table for 5 (initially 7 before a couple couldn't make it) at short notice for Father's day in a restaurant this good is definitely a crime. What a gem of a place, bright cheerful decor, efficient and helpful staff and wonderful food cooked to a very high standard. All of us,... More

Imaginative menu cooked with lots of local ingredients and presented perfectly. Just the right balance of making you feel special without being pretentious. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for!!!

Had lunch here on Sunday, we booked for 12:45 as we needed quiet time to catch up with friends heading back home to Brisbane. We arrived and were seated promptly. The wine list was interesting and we settled on a bottle of English blanc de blanc, very good it was too. There were two vegetarians amongst us and the settled... More

This has to have been the best meal I've had in England. We arrived at 7pm to an empty restaurant. The owner, Monika greeted us and showed us to a table. The service was excellent. Drinks ordered and complimentary bottled water and homemade bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar were served while we perused the menu. One of our... More

The food was beautiful and the fact the restaurant is relatively small works 100% in their favour as you really feel looked after. The service is great and all staff were very friendly. Love the fact they source ingredients locally, you can tell they're passionate about what they're cooking.

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and never once been disappointed. We are lucky to be local and try to eat there whenever possible. I really cannot speak highly enough of this place.

We celebrated a 93rd birthday here with an absolutely delicious lunch - it isn't often that everyone in a party is thoroughly pleased with their menu choices and not eyeing up their neighbours plate but we felt that every dish served here lived up to it's description on the menu and the intricate blending of flavours was perfect. It was... More

Ten of us went to the Fig Tree for our christmas lunch. Noone had eaten here before, so we were uncertain as to what to expect but we all came away thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent and a few of us commented that it was the nicest christmas lunch we'd ever eaten. The service was very good too, and... More

My wife and I have ate here a couple of times and each time we have loved the food and the atmosphere, the staff are always friendly and attentive but no over bearing, every dish we have sampled has been cooked perfectly and there is always plenty on your plate.
