Small, intimate surroundings, contemporary great menu choice. Service excellent, well priced. Would recommend and will definitely visit again
My wife and I read the reviews of this restaurant and decided to try it. Initially it was not so impressive, we were told that there were reservations at 7 or 8 when actually we wanted a table for 7:30. As the evening unfolded all became clear. In November, and maybe at other times of the year - this restaurant... More
Easy to find with parking nearly, small intimate place but very welcoming and comfortable. Varied menu with some unusual and interesting dishes. Very helpful with gluten free options with a menu specially marked to show 'safe' dishes. Food well presented and beautifully cooked. Maybe portion size could have been a little larger?
10 of us at the table, food and wine superb. Simple ingredient led kitchen where flavour is the usp. Excellent wine choice. Superb
Best restaurant on the island. Friendly owner, fantastic food. You definitely need to book. And to the party of 8 who booked a table the night we were there and failed to turn up - you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is a small restaurant who held your table turning other diners away. Considerable loss to the restaurant and... More
This is a fantastic little restaurant with food to die for. the atmosphere is very pleasant with wonderful service. Be sure to book as every table was full. It's always good to look round and see pleasure on other diners faces and watch them tasting each others dishes. There was no rushing between courses and treated very attentively. I would... More
We hadn't even spotted this place until looking on trip advisor. So glad we did. Very good service from two person team, delivering quality service and food. No unnecessary waiting, yet no rush. Delicious flavours. 3 courses with bottle of wine and tip for £80. Definitely worth it for special occassion, or when you want to treat yourself to tasty... More
Lockslane is due an apology from me because it is a year almost to the day -October 2012- since eating there but the memory of a delightful evening, service excellent without being intrusive and a perfectly cooked and presented meal was insisting that I submit a wholehearted recommendation. - we were so carried away by the meal we finished with... The food here is worth travelling for. We have been a few times and chose it for a romantic birthday celebration. Once again, it exceeded our expectations. Smallish menu of delicious dishes, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Intimate, under-stated ambience. We will be back.
Lovely small restaurant on a non-descript street next to a fish and chip shop! But don't let that put you off; it's not their fault. We had a really nice meal. Beautifully presented with friendly service. The best we have had after many visits to the IOW. Probably best to book especially if word gets around.
