Had two lovely meals there in the week we stayed and Fernando and Gill made us feel very welcome. Good home cooked food and nothing too much trouble.
Nice waiter who shouted like Gordon Ramsey to his cooks. Maybe because they screwed up the food. Spaghetti without sauce, overwell done peppersteak and bacalhou full of grates. View (looking at a wall) wasn't much either.
O Geachte Mevrouw, thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience in our Restaurant. I suggest next time you make your complaint to the waiter if you are not satisfied with your meal, so we may rectify any problems. "Gordan Ramsay" assured me that you did not.... More
This is a small place tucked away in the back streets of Cabanas. Sitting outside the view isn't much, a big wall, but the quality of the Food makes up for that. I had piri piri prawns with extra spice and then the land a wine casserole - both very tasty and well cooked. Service could be described as relaxed,... More
This is an excellent restaurant. It doesn't look much but the food is excellent. They do fantatic garlic mushrooms and the owner always has specials on and if there's a particular fish you'd like to try he will order it in and cook it for you. Their house wine is less than €10 a bottle.
First time dining at this restaurant and have to say that the meal was lovely, the owner very friendly and welcoming. Will be returning in the next couple of days when the rest of the family arrives.
Went for 2 weeks in August 2013. Had dinner here 3 times. We are a family of four - our girls are 13 and 9. Lovely atmosphere. Tucked away so not noisy. Food lovely. Very reasonable. Nothing too much trouble. Gillian and Fernando are lovely lovely hosts.
My wife and I enjoy eating out on holiday, I enjoy all Portugese food and wine while my wife is a veggie and tea total! So eating out can be a problem! Not so at the Cabanas Brasserie, Jill always provides a veggie option that is both pleasing on the eye and mouth watering, and unlike other restaurants there are choices... More
We have eaten here for the last three years and the standard is always excellent. The bread is always soft and freshly cut, the salmon fishcakes for starters are fab and the we can recommend the kebabs, tuna in tomato sauce and the chicken a la crème for the mains. They are served with your choice of rice/potatoes/chips and salad/vegs.... More
The first time I went to this restaurant, I had spaghetti bolognese. I think it was the best restaurant I went to in Cabanas. The second time we visited, I had ribs for starter, bolognese (again) and Zoo Loco for desert (the best bit!). Fernando and Jill were really nice to my sister and myself. Cabanas Brasserie was the best... More
Went for 2 weeks with friends and family and ate at this restaurant 3 times. On my daughters 13th birthday Jill made a chocolate cake for her. Fernando is great at front of house and explained all about the portugese wines. The food is really good and the prices are amazing. If you go to Cabanas then i would definately... More
