Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We cycled over 10 miles to visit this entity which apparently has not been a tea room for over 3 years. It is still showing on the Herefordshire publicity material and cycle guides as a tea room. The photographs on Trip Advisor are also very...misleading. There are currently no tea rooms in Pembridge.More

What a joy it was to discover this cafe and shop! The hosts were extremely friendly, making us feel very welcome. There were lovely goodies to take the eye in all three areas that make up Ye Olde Steppes. Goodies to eat, goodies to wear...and a great variety of goodies to drink. We had popped in to get takeaway drinks on readiness to get the bus back to Eardisland after a long walk. We were persuaded to take a seat to enjoy our refreshments in comfort with the promise of a lift back to Eardisland afterwards. The coffee and hot chocolate were very good and we had ample time to look at everything else that was on offer. We eventually left with some of the eating goodies and a bottle of very delicious Ludlow gin. Sam, our driver was a lovely lady and it was interesting to hear how the family had come to own the business. I would definitely put it on your list of ‘to visit’ if you are up in that area. We will definitely be revisiting next time that we are in the area.More

Dropped in on my way back from visiting the church to have a browse for a couple of items. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly even though I’d never set foot Inside this shop before. Plenty of locally produced gin, cider and beer for...sale. A very pleasant experience today.More

A wonderful shop with very friendly and welcoming owners. Very helpful and knowledgeable of the local area. Called every day for our morning coffees. Would definitely recommend and will call again when in the area.

This is one of those shops with so much character that it becomes more of an experience than just buying something. Sells a wide range of quality produce and the owners are very friendly. Definitely worth popping in if you are visiting Pembridge.

This is no longer a tea room but still an excellent shop! They mentioned it on their Facebook page but I didn't see it until after I visited at the start of July.

What a quaint and lovely shop. Bigger than you think. Super friendly people and lots of choice. The cheese and chutney selection we could not resist having just had some of both at the local pub.

We stayed in the holiday cottage behind Ye Olde Steppes last week. It was a joy to pop in (most days!) and pick up locally sourced produce. We were always met with a smile and a really warm welcome. A shop that is well and...truly the heart of the village. It made our stay so much more enjoyable. I can't comment on the tea room as it wasn't open, but had it been we would definitley have taken advantage. Thank you!More

If you find yourself in the vicinity of the delightful, black and white Herefordshire village of Pembridge, I urge you to stop for refreshments at the Olde Steppes shop/cafe. Genuinely welcoming and hospitable, flavoursome coffee, a mini emporium of locally sourced produce and good old-...fashioned conversation. Once over the threshold you are acknowledged with a smile and made to feel valued as a customer. Places like this are central to village life and wider, rural communities. Long may the Olde Steppes continue to provide a place for people to connect, converse and consume! Thank you.More

The food is fab, the staff are extremely attentive and always remember you when you return. This is how tea shops/cafes should be. An absolute gem.

Unfortunately there are now no indoor seating only takeaway and sit on just 2 outdoor picnics benches behind shop on church green. This was lovely for us, as I bought takeaway coffees and a fab custard slice and it was sunny and warm! This shop...is a treasure trove of stuff! from basics (only village shop) and other more wondrous goodies of all sorts. It was a disappointment not to sit indoors as it is the most beautiful building inside, full of beams etc.More

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we no longer have seating inside as we are no longer a tea room. We are now running purely as a shop. So therefore we can only offer a take away service.

I arrived in Pembridge half an hour before the cafe was due to open, but was ushered in with a huge welcome. Comfy sofa and a piping hot latte, with two chocolates! Lovely, cheerful, helpful staff. Obviously loved by locals who were piling in to...have breakfasts and booking tables for lunch later in the week!More

Brilliant every time. Marvellous place with very friendly and competent staff. Owner lady in a class of her own. Food exeptional, very high risk establishment for someone unfortunate enough to be on a diet .We shall certainly return.
