When we travel we always ask the locals where to go. In Denali the will all tell you "The Bake." And when we would ask why they always said, "The Food!" We ate all over Alaska during our 4-weeks and this place was the best. Fresh Seafood and large portions.Halibut Tacos to die for. They even serve a Blue Frozen... more

Hard to miss this place right in the middle of 'Glitter Gulch' outside of Denali National Park. Once inside, the atmosphere is pure roadhouse with license plates and other memorabilia all over the walls, but don't let the surly-looking, tattooed staff scare you - they were all wonderful and friendly. I had the buffalo chili and the fried halibut while... more

this place is not for those who are looking for a formal place to dine. it is very "rustic" . the service is friendly and efficient, the food is good, the beer is great. we loved it so much, we went back a second time. great salmon. also has a buffalo stew over mashed potatos. delicious! more

I had halibut tacos, while my wife had halibut fish and chips. Our cabins personnel told us it was the best food at a reasonable cost and he was right. We tried two other places that were inferior. College age staff very friendly. more

We recently spent three days near Denali National Park and based on other reviews on Trip Advisor we went here for dinner the first night we arrived. As stated in other reviews it is a quirky place with slanted floors, and a hodgepodge of rooms which seems to fit with Alaska. It was a mistake. We had a party of... more

This was the first eatery on my 'must do' list for our Alaska trip and we weren't disappointed. The place is more than 'rustic'...kinda of like a tent city, but kinda charming. When we arrived there were a lot of people waiting to be seated so we thought we might have to go elsewhere, but because we had 6 in... more

Denali Park Salmon Bake is a truly unique place. The restaurant is built into the hillside and has obviously grown and been expanded over the years since the whole place seems hodgepodged together. It has a bar upstairs, the restrooms are in a loft area, and there are various dining areas sprinkled randomly throughout the whimsical interior. The kitchen is... more

We visited the Salmon Bake during our trip to Alaska in June 2009. We finished our white water rafting trip and wanted to go someplace close with a good beer selection. The Salmon Bake fit our needs perfectly! My husband had heard from several folks that the halibut tacos were delish and after having them he agreed. I had the... more

Nice local-feel restaurant within tourist region just outside Denali Park entrance. Fun atmosphere in upstairs bar with view of surrounding town. Killer halibut tacos and decent chowders. more

I loved everything about this place! The waitor (Jeff) was awesome, the food amazing! Very laid back, go with the flow kind of restaurant. The prices were very reasonable considering being in a tourist trap! Two thumbs up! more
