We loved our dinner at the GC dining room - after a long day of trekking in the canyon we just wanted something fast so we could sleep! Very cheap and quick service - cafeteria style. Great chicken pot pie! more

The deal with eating here is that 1) you need somewhere to sit down and eat a nice meal at the GC (this is IT) and the view is amazing--airy dining room w/views right on the Rim. Food is okay, nothing to write home about but decent choice. Servers very friendly and gave good reccs for spots to hit up... more

- Awesome views! Large panoramic windows open up to the canyon - Service was ok. Servers were busy so you felt like you were bothering them by asking for something. - Lunch buffet with salad and pasta + sauces was around $13.50 - Closed October 15th for the season - Chili was awesome! Although they were out of cilantro and... more

You have no other choice. There is only one restaurant (and a takeout place). The food is passable and overpriced. The staff tries very hard and is overworked. The breakfast buffet at $12.95 is way over priced. (We had a far superior breakfast buffet in Page, AZ at Pepper's in the Courtyard for $9.95) more

Anyone coming to any park restaurant must realize that it is a National Park--not a 5 star restaurant. We ate here for 2 dinners and one breakfast buffet and were very poleased. The wait staff was excellent, and the food both plentiful and actually very good. The setting could not have been beat anywhere however. The first dinner, my wife... more

Worst things first: after the long drive from Las Vegas, we arrived to find the restaurant had no record of our 6pm dinner reservation. When booking reservations I always note the person's name along with the date, and time of the call. Didn't matter here; the person seating diners just said, "Sorry, we don't have it" and would do nothing.... more

The view and room make it worthwhile, so make reservations and order carefully. My "delicate cream sauce" was a gloppy, tasteless Alfredo. Wait staff was extremely pleasant. We also ate at the lodges at Bryce and Zion, adn this was the only one that disappointed. Breakfast was good. more

Had an excellent dinner overlooking the grand canyon, north rim. The dining room is as grand as the canyon. Be sure to get reservations, difficult to get into. Go early for table at the windows. more

We enjoyed our lunch at the North Rim very much. The food was excellent, the service impressive and the view outstanding. What more could you want? If you are going on a weekend, make sure you have reservations for your meal. The dining room fills up quickly as there are no other sitdown restaurants in the area. more

We ate dinner on Sept. 4th and both the food and the service were excellent. We were in the first seating of the evening and got a rim view table. Mark was a very attentive server and even took a couple of photos for us. I had the trout with corn salsa and my husband had the marinated bison. Both... more
