Description: A visit to Scharff's Gourmet restaurant in Wartenberg-Rohrbach near Kaiserslautern is like taking a short holiday. This restaurant in the beautiful area of Rheinland-Pfalz has many accolades and serves star quality food, full of new ideas, in an historic Kreuzgewlbe (cross vault). The large garden at Scharff's gourmet restaurant is a real highlight, where you will find a vast number of herbs growing, which are used in the sample tasters menu. Here diners can encounter a choice of French tarragon with scallop Balontine, or rosemary arp (one of the strongest flavours) with tartlets made from Jivara chocolate. The sensory terrace and the herb garden is inviting not only for culinary enjoyment, but also for a stroll in good weather. In Scharff's child-friendly gourmet restaurant, located near to Kaiserslautern you can enjoy spectacular events throughout the whole year. Amateur chefs can take advantage of Martin Scharff's 'do it yourself star menu' cookery courses and whether you want to be catered for, or take to the kitchen yourself, a visit to the Wartenberg mill is always worthwhile.

Just returned from an overnight stay here. The room was extremely well equiped, very clean and comfortable. In addition it was very, very quiet. Had an evening meal too. The food was well cooked and presented. All very affordable. Good selection of wines. Would like to do it again sometime in the lovely setting. More

My wife and 9 month old baby booked for one night at the Baron at Bucknall after receiving a recommendation from a friend and were delighted we took their advice. The Baron is a family run pub and it showed from the minute we arrived and were warmly greeted by the owners Phil and Debbie who put any fears of... More

after reviews, decided to give it a whirl as we were staying up the road in Chapel Lawn. Quite busy for a Thursday night. Pleasant table in the conservatory. Service was alittle slow but the staff were most pleasant, the place had a happy ambience. The food was good simple fare, freshly cooked with good ingredients. A good find. More

Nothing special here I am afraid. 1 person light in the serving department imo on the night we went, so service slow and lacking attention. Food is Ok but the lamb shanks we had were not completely hot although has been thoroughly cooked. There was a need for a bit of do it yourself to get the drinks but this... More

We take customer feedback very seriously and are sorry that we did not meet our high standards on this occasion. Customers enjoy dining in the conservatory as it offers greats views of the Shropshire Hills. This room does provide direct access to the garden in warmer months. Thank you for your comment about the door, we were not aware of... More

We went to the Baron of Beef as it had been recommended to us however this appears to have been based on the previous management / owners as our experience has very poor. You would think given the name of the place and the only option for Sunday roast is beef that they would do a reasonable job...but no it... More

We are very sorry that you were not happy with your meal on Sunday. We take all feedback very seriously and as a family business care passionately about our business and customer service. We served over 60 Roast Beef meals on Sunday and had many compliments, specifically on the quality of the local beef. If you had brought your disappointment... More

We recently spent 3 nights bed and breakfast at this lovely family run hotel in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard, the food is excellent and the family are very keen to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one. I cannot recommend it highly enough. More

We stayed on the campsite for a weekend, 3 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs! Absolutely fantastic place in beautiful surroundings, we enjoyed some lovely walks suggested by the owners and the locals. You can download a copy of the booklet with several different walks from their website. The pub itself is lovely and we could not have been made... More

We visited for sunday lunch on Mother's Day, and were made to feel very welcome. The restaurant has a lot of character with an old mill wheel as a feature. We all enjoyed the food which was a cut above the usual without being overly fancy or expensive. Although they were busy (it was Mother's Day after all) the service... More

We had a nice enough meal here - good quality but very standard pub fare - nothing particularly interesting so a bit disappointing compared with the rating it has here. Very friendly service though and they honoured a 20% discount offer even though we forgot to take the email that confirmed it. More
