This restaurant came highly recommended to us by the people at the beach in the resort we were staying (they are probably getting paid for the false advertisement!) The package deal to take us from the Resort to the restaurant was 60US$ pp. On the day we wanted to go, we did not find the man selling tickets, so we... more

We approached the restaurant from the beach side having walked down from the Paradisus Punta Cana to El Cortecito although we could have taken the numerous water taxis buzzing local swimmers, kayakers and sailors to get there. Situated amongst myriad low-rent shacks of trinket peddlers, the site was neither pristine nor particularly appealing though right on the beach, in fact,... more

I read the complaints of how expensive. But remember the place is located in a tourist destination area and prices are based on offer and demand. The place is crowded, the setting is perfect, and the most important is that the seafood is very fresh, live spiny lobster, crabs, prawns, etc.; all done at your sight and with no BS... more

Several of the hotels (especially the mega-resorts) get kick-backs for recommendations to this restaurant. Not to say that the food is bad. The seafood platter we had was fine, except we waited about 2 hours for it and it was quite expensive. The atmosphere, too, is not the best. If the weather is bad, there is an upstairs indoor (&... more

We kept hearing that this is the best seafood restaurant to go to. When we finally decided to try it for lunch - at 2pm in the afternoon we were told there was only1 fish available. We asked for it grilled - it came fried. The best thing to be said was we did have delicious croquettes and chips. We... more

The place is pretty cool in it's setting. When we arrived, we shared a table with some folks from spain. We were asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a beer and Jessi ordered Sangria. Befor the drinks came a huge round tray of grill seafood arrived. We ate and all was cool. 1 beer and 2 Sangrias and... more

It's a rustic place but that's where it's charm lies. When you arrive for the first time it can be a little disconcerting as there is no one to greet you and explain how this restaurant provides service, or there wasn't anyone greeting when we were there. As you enter this open air restaurant look to your left and you'll... more
