My husband and I ate here at the recommendation of someone who frequently travels to Puerto Rico. It was by far the best meal we had during our recent 5-day trip. We both had the 4 course meal which was priced at $59 each. I started out with the ceviche which was very good and my husband had the tuna... more

My wife and I discovered this place very much by accident on our second day of a 7 day medical conference, headquartered at the Rio Mar resort, 30 miles from Old San Juan. In the next 6 days , we drove in to have the 5 course tasting menu 4 out of the next 6 days . The food was... more

Marmalade deserves high marks for the dining experience it offers. First, the interior is contemporary and interesting. Orange dominates, almost to the exclusion of all other colors. The glassware, plates, and silver are also contemporary. This is not an old-world or traditional venue. You will not feel like you are near the water. The place is pretty deep in the... more

After reading so many great reviews we decided to try this. The restaurant is really modern and beautiful. I had already reviewed the menu online and I had decided to do the 10 course tasting menu. My husband did the 5. Both of them with the wine pairing. Some of the courses were out of this world. The "peasant" courses,... more

The best meal of my life, and that's not an exaggeration. My husband and I just got back from my 2nd trip to Puerto Rico, and eating here was the highlite of our trip- We were considering one of the many places on Frontaleza street, but were recommended this restaurant numerous times. Highly sophisticated and not a mediocre dish was... more

This restaurant is a real find. It is quite expensive but well worth it. The food was beautifully presented and extremely good. From the menu we chose Paella Bites (crispy rolls of sushi-esque flavoured spiced chorizo rice scented with smoked chicken, peppers and a saffron-garlic emulsion and a crab cerviche as starters, followed by strips of fillet of duck with... more

Each year for the past three years we have been rewarded by selecting Marmalade for dining at least once in our stays. Chef owner Peter Schintler, who commonly interacts with customers (now with charming wife often on site and newly as a proud papa), heads up a welcoming atmosphere and presents diverse and superbly crafted offerings. Expect a creative melding... more
