We had walked by this place for many years, believing it to be a juice bar because of the signage. We tried it this visit and found to be a great bargain with wonderful food. The shrimp and cheese flauta's are to die for and the salmon appetizer is great. For entrees we enjoyed the flautas and the shrimp dish.... more

When I visited thie restraurant I was not sure that this was the place that was mentioned on TripAdvisor. I was incorrect the Mexican food was excellent. The first visit was spent eating appetizers including the stuffed fautia's and stuffed mushrooms followed by a dessert of flan that might be the best ever. The owner stopped at the table and... more

Sorry everyone, we just got back to our hotel and did NOT enjoy our time at this restaurant. This is my first review is a few years as a member of tripadvisor. We have been to over 40 countries and have eaten at a lot of places. So I think we have some reason to know that is up. The... more

Whenever you go to specific restaurants stick to what they are good & known for. In other words don't go off the beaten path on the menu as you can end up dissappointed. I ended up mostly dissappointed in a few pasta dishes my family ordered & I sampled which were fair at best. This place Jovitos is known for... more

My fiance` and I went to Acapulco for a spur of the moment Valentines Day get away. We had read numerous reviews about Jovitos. We went to Jovitos on our "date night" on Valentines. We were pleasantly surprised when this very charming man came to our table and began asking us questions about our visit, where we were from, and... more

We followed Fodor's recommendation to Jovito's. When we arrived at 7:30pm we had our choice of tables and picked the front balcony with an exciting view of the main strip. Then we ordered drinks and next thing we knew, Jovito himself came out to introduce himself. We told him it was our first trip to the city and his restaurant.... more

Good: Give you 9 sauces to try. Some really good. Bad: Nothing bad, just average. They call their menu Italian / Mexican fusion. Don’t know what that means, but okay. Went for lunch. Main menu is Italian, but also provide you with an appetizer menu. This consists of mainly soups, salads, tacos, tostadas, etc. We went for lunch and had... more

I visited the establishment and found the food to be excellent. I agree with Mike the Cop that it might be the best Mexican food in Acapulco. more

I met Rick Bayless in Chicago and inquired what was the best place in Acapulco to experience Mexican food and he recommended Jovitos. I have since dined their many times and found the food to be excellent. Ask for the encased in plastic spanish menu and head to the appetizers. The flautas with camerones and cheese are great as is... more
