We were on foot in town and unfortunately, were given faulty directions by someone on the street, so we wound up climbing over hill and dale to finally arrive (by elevator, thank goodness!) at El Panorama. The view from atop the old hotel and dining alfresco is a great way to end a day and start your evening in Puerto Vallarta. I will tell you 1st of all, you go up some pretty steep, narrow, cabble stone streets to get there- but the ride will only cost you $10 american and an experienced driver will have no trouble at all. We have been to El Panorama several times over the past 10 years of visiting P.V. The service has always been great! We have not had dinner the past few years, but we have been back with a large group for late night dessert. Bananas Flambe is a must to have there. They do it table side, it is delicious!!... more
