Hats-off to the team at this restaurant! We dined here last week while on vacation and we had the most wonderful experience. Between the view, service and spectacular food it was alomst intoxicating!! Very romantic, very clean, very special! Thank you Mr. Fuentes - you run a great restaurant! more

The view was breathtaking and my friend and I really enjoyed our meal. It's like being in someones beautiful home with good food, gorgeous decor and a view to die for of the city. more

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Not just a 'view" restaurant. The food the drinks, the service and even the music were just top notch. Thank you for a beautiful experience from seasoned travelers and diners. more

My husband got a recommendation for this restaurant. Its set up really high in the hills with the most beautiful views of Puerto Vallarta. Its romantic and pretty- and thats where it ends. Our waiter pushed us to have the seafood special- mussles, lobster, calamari, mahi-mahi and so on. We were silly enough not to ask the price, but as... more

This restaurant created an incredible memory for us as the night could have been a disaster. El Palomar is located immediately next to the Vista Grill. We had previously made reservations at the Vista Grill for the final night of our vacation and had even been re-confirmed but as the taxi pulled up to the Vista Grill it was CLOSED???... more

Group of 4 visited in mid-July 2009 for a late evening dinner. Fantastic view, but disappointing food. Of the 4 meals, 2 were "the worst food ever received at a restaurant". The grilled shrimp dish and the grilled steak dish were charred beyond recognition and tasted like charcoal. Another steak dish and the surf/turf were average. We expected much better.... more

This hillside, family-owned establishment is always on our must see list. I love the view and the food is consistently good. they don't vary the menu much but there is nothing that you can pass up on the menu. The view is to die for and the service makes you feel like you are a member of the family. Later... more

Four of us visited this restaurant just the other day - and we were all very pleased. Like most others, we ordered the seafood platter for 2, at $82 ($41 per person, USD). It came with 3 lobster tails, crab, calamari, 4 large shrimp, mussels, scallops, and a hunk of whitefish - delicious! We also ordered the Caesar salad. It... more

After reading all the rave reviews we were expecting a great meal. We waited 30 minutes for a menu and then ordered the seafood platter for two. It was barely warm and the calamari were tough. The view is beautiful and the setting in an old home is quite charming but didn't make up for the poor service and even... more

March 15, 2009 - I had heard about this place for several years but this was my first visit. There were four of us and we were treated like royalty. Our steaks were very flavorful but when we saw the 3 lobsters at the next table (one serving), I had second thoughts about my order. We had a nice Caesar... more
