We go to Cancun in the spring and fall every year and always include La Dolce Vita in our plans. They are consistantly delicious, offer terrific service and have one of the nicest views of the sunset. more

This restaurant received rave reviews from "Dos Gringos", a couple who write reviews for restaurants in Cancun. Obviously, they eat free or get some kind of kickback, because this place was mediocre at best. Decor has not been updated in years, and reminded me of an upscale diner from the 50s. I was very excited to dine here because my in laws and the Concierge from the JW Marriott, where we were staying, personally recommended it. Our hotel gave us a card for a free appetizer as well. Our first meal in cancun was at this restaurant.The service was very good.The location onn the lagoon is very picturesque.The food was good.My wife had grilled shrimp,and I had escargot for starters.Both were very enjoyable.Mains consisted of locally caught fish,again well prepared and very tasty. I didn't expect a lot from an Italian restaurant in a Mexican resort town, but this was quite good -- nothing extraordinary, but very good. A couple of us had chicken Parmesan, which was tender, savory, and featured an excellent pomodoro. A pasta trio was also very good. A good change from steaks and Yucatan cuisine, when you want one.... more

The food was amazing. I didnt think italian food in Mexico made since, but it was some of the best i have ever had. The staff was friendly and the view were beautiful. I reccommend going at sunset. Very romantic on the patio. The wine list was extensive and very reasonable. I highly reccommend!!!!!! more

This restaurant was a welcoming change from the awful food served at Riu Cancun. The food was simple, fresh and delicious, and I found food I could eat being a vegan. The owner and staff were pleasant and attentive. This restaurant was one of the highlights of the Cancun trip. The only thing was the restaurant was freezing! more

We have gone here everytime were're in Cancun. The atmosphere is seconded to none, and the food is amazing. If you can go during the sunset, its really spectacular. If you like Italian food in a romatic setting, you have to go to La Dolce Vita!!!!!!! more

Everywhere we went to eat in Cancun we had really amazing service but at La Dolce Vita it was amazing. At any given time there were at least 3 servers available at a moments notice and our drinks never were empty. And the FOOD!!!! I had the best bruschetta I have ever had in my life!
