Staying at the FA Coral Beach we saw this seaside restaurant next to the hotel. From the street it is down an alley where Hertz has a location. What a surprise. Right on the sea, open air dining. We had a caeser salad for 2 prepared tableside. 2 glasses of wine , 2 bottles of beer, a shrimp entree and... more

Interesting reading these reviews. It appears there are good days and bad days. Well, we went on a good day. Being from Maryland, we know seafood and what we had was good stuff! Leobardo was our waiter and I can't tell you the last time someone stood at my restaurant table and made a homemade Caesar salad dressing!! And it... more

We went here in November on recommendation from the Mapchick and TripAdvisor. Something has definitley changed since those reviews. This was the WORST food we have ever eaten anywhere! We couldn't even eat it. Such a shame since the view is spectacular as well as the jazz singer. The photographer is creepy! The waiter was okay and could speak good... more

My wife and I have been in Cancun for past 3 seasons now and we make it a priority to visit Mocambo at least twice, ok and also visit Norma who sings wonderful classics while you dine. The atmosphere is absolutely laid back, service quick and professional, and food exceptional for the price compared to other tourist traps. The guy... more

My three sisters and I ate at Mocambo's on August 15, 2009. It was the absolutely worst meal (and most expensive) of our Cancun trip. We had the lobster, obviously, since they are known for this. We didn't even recognize the meal when it came! We tried to eat it, but eventually gave up and left. The cost was $45... more

Me and my girlfriend ate here from a tip from one of the locals. Well I will say the ocean view from the dock is wonderful with the ocean air in your face and your literally right on the water. The server was very nice and the drinks were great. Here comes the problems 1. Our appetizer was a shrimp... more

We went to Mocambo's because we were told it was economical and very good. Well, it was all of those things. The food was good, but the service is why you go. Our waiter was wonderful. They had live jazz musicians and once he found out it was our honeymoon he had her play a song for us and we... more

I really can't imagine ANYONE rating this five stars. I've been going at least annually to Cancun for 20 years and my family and I did not enjoy this restaurant. Service was poor and no one enjoyed their plate. Our two appetizers were not popular with anyone at the table. The reasons for dissatisfaction are the following: food was severely... more

We came here because of recommendation from TA and my brother. The view was poor and nothing spectacular. We had the combination lobster, shrimp, tuna, and salmon for two. The lobster was very tiny and had more shell than meat to it. The tuna and salmon were over cooked an dried like jerkey. Overall everything was extremely salty. And this... more
