Since four years i'm visiting Playa del Carmen, and i usually go to Chicago don jose. I was surprise that the american owner sold the restaurant. But anyway, still the same great food and even better. The news owners, charming young couple, are very nice, and the atmosphere is really better. i recomand this restaurant, this the best in town... more

Chicago's with out a doubt is one our favorite restaurants in Playa. The food always is fantastic. A few months ago, the original owners sold and since then, the management is hit or miss. For example, the owner seems to run out of gas for cooking on nights he doesn't want to work and you don't get the warm feeling... more

I've been to CDJ several times over the years. The owner is a charming American woman with great recipes! I especially like her fish with cilantro -- just ask for it -- they'll know what you're talking about.
