The pizza was very good, the drinks were fairly priced and the atmosphere was excellent. US Retired folks love this place and so did we.
Love the easy atmosphere, brick oven pizza on w/e's and Negra Modelo on draft! Cpt Mike is most accommodating to sailors, fishermen and locals alike. This is becoming a San Carlos icon. You will always find someone you know there! And a big game on TV? Mike will have it! Live music several times a week.
Good place for family ,couples or individuals. There is a place for everyone . great outdoor seating as well. Fair pricing. Bar eats and usually a good dinner item or two available for more. Been going here for 5 years and it just gets better.
Mike(the Owner) makes the best pizzas in town. They are only available on Friday thru Monday. The drinks are great, and on Mondays, they have outdoor silent movies with live piano player. A great place to relax and meet people from all over the world.!
Other restaurants in San Carlos have more to offer. The menu is ordinary, atmosphere is average at best (not on the water, no view). Monday nights they have silent movies showing which is kinda fun for one time.
When we arrived a local fisherman was selling his catch of the day; It was 3 Dorado. I asked and got a excellently prepared Dorado filet, garlic and butter, nothing else was needed... except for the wine from Chile that they had. The rest of my party ordered up and down the menu, everithyng was great. Unpretentious, clean, good service,... More
We stumbled into this place on my first visit to San Carlos. It’s a block from the marina and on the main drive. Immediately I felt comfortable in here. Friendly people on both sides of the bar. Asked some regulars about the area and got great advice. The place is filled with maritime paraphernalia and a few “just plain weird... More
We pulled into the marina and wanted off our sailboat for lunch. The place was decorated like any other boaters bar we have been to. It was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive and best of all it was nice and cool out of the hot noon sun. We started with chips and homemade salsa which is the best... More
Except for the prices marked in pesos, Club de Capitanes could be a mediocre bar anywhere in the United States. The menu is primarily American, burgers and po'boys and such. The TVs play mostly American sports. The books are in English (though there is a book exchange area, unlike most American places.) The customers were primarily white. There's no Fanta.... More
