We were visiting the area and were looking for a restaurant that would accommodate some different tastes and food preferences. The food was wonderful, the welcome was very friendly and the restaurant while small was lovely and quirky. I will certainly return next time we are in the area. More

My wife and I visited The Journeyman last night with our 15 week old daughter (in pushchair). We are staying near Padstow and searched Trip Advisor in search of a good Indian Restaurant... The Journeyman reviews looked very good so we decided to book... We are so glad we did !!! Firstly, the building is lovely, located in a beautiful... More

I always make a point of visiting this restaurant, usually twice, during our annual trips to Cornwall since first discovering it some five years ago. I reported at some length in August 2010, so I won't go into details as this report can be read by scrolling back to that date. Suffice to say that despite a couple of (surprising)... More

Hi Malcolm Nice to see you and Di again many thanks for the curries, am saving them for when I get a saturday night off as it will be a real treat to eat something someone else has cooked! Glad you enjoyed your meals, see you next year. Cheers Steve More

What a fantastic albeit quirky little restaurant! The curry was amongst the best I have ever eaten - far better than most curry houses. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and I can personally reccomend the Curry Combo. The Chef was very friendly and introduced himself on arrival. We are staying in Newquay in October and although it... More

We managed to get a reservation after several attempts and turned up ever so slightly late as it's not that easy to find. Initially this seemed like it was going to be a problem, despite only one other diner when we arrived but we were shown to our table and service was fine after that. Having read the largely positive... More

We went to the Journeyman last night and have to say that despite the negative reviews we had read on tripadvisor, we had a wonderful experience. THe service was friendly and prompt, the atmopshere was relaxing and the food was incredible! We'll definatley be back! More

Have just visited this restaurant on local advice and had a wonderful meal. The curry was one of, if not the, best I have ever tasted and the offer to make it to the level of heat required was spot on and suited everybody. Well worth a visit but you must book to guarantee a table Well done. More

As per previous reviews 'Hidden Gem' is the best way to describe this place. Hidden away pretty much in the middle of nowhere the chef really knows what he's doing. The fusion of Thailand and India works a treat with some of the most flavoursome dished I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is cosy with only about 10 tables in... More

We came in on a Thursday evening at around 8.45pm. As we entered the dining room, a member of staff came out from the kitchen. We asked if there was any chance of having a table for 2 - the restaurant seemed mostly empty with only a couple of tables taken. The woman simply looked at us and said in... More

Having eaten there a few days earlier with my partner and enjoyed the food albeit the welcome was a bit frosty, we thought we would take the kids along for a good curry. I made the call to reserve a table, the phone was answered with just 'hello', perhaps she was having a bad day! I eventually reservered a table... More

Hi We're sorry you were disappointed on the night in question but as the person who spoke to you when you arrived I must disagree that I was in any way "frosty" I felt I made every effort to explain the situation in a friendly and professional manner. Having spoken to the person who took the booking she has told... More
