We booked a reservation here for a special weekend at the hotel and spa. Those were great, but Samurai left a lot to be desired. The premises is small and uninspiring. The restaurant is located internal at the hotel (no windows) and is very small. The front sushi bar is typically Japanese (but nothing special), but the small back room... more

This is a very small restaurant inside the Banff Springs Hotel. The restaurant consists of a very large sushi bar, and a few (4-6) tables equipped for table cooking. Best sushi Ive had in my life, I had it while working at the Springs, twice, beef tataki is a must, stay away from sushi boats, they tend to be generic, but their plum sorbet is the best. Expensive but the fish is A++ more
