DH had a meat pizza which was outstanding and I had a soup/sandwich that I would order again (even took the leftover sandwich on the plane home!) Nothing special in terms of the food. Standard pub grub. They do have a great scotch selection if you are into that sort of thing. The interior of the restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. It's 2 floors including a balcony. They have entertainment every night in the summer. more

Stopped in for a couple pints of Canadian and sat out in their couch area on the street. Great service and the snacks we had were tasty and well presented. more

Husband couldn't stop gawking at the gorgeous decor in this pub. Love how the stage is above the bar. Also loved the comfy semi-circular booths. Decent service. Lots of beer and alcohol to choose from. Can't say anything about the food as we only stopped in for a drink. more

We recently had a chance to experience the Bard and Banker pub on Govt street. What an amazingly beautiful restoration of a local heritage building. this place is really busy and with good reason . it has a good atmosphere and great staff . the food was o.k. but the beer was fine . the barman was on his own and coped better than expected , he never stopped. the music was understated and the seating was well thought out . more

This pub belongs to change of English themed pubs. Went for a classic fish and chips with a pint of local beer. The chips where a little uneven some of them looked like they had come from the bottom of the fryer. The beer was expensive at $7.50 a pint. more
